Late afternoon lullabye...

Was in the mood for a nice quiet sunset. So I headed over to our local state park and waited. perfect weather and a very relaxing end to my day. This years Fall road trip is only 19 days away..

..Life as I know it....

Sorry for the huge delay in posting pictures..My Fall road trip is all planned and ready though. "Planned" meaning I haven't a clue where I am going or a destination in mind. I do know the direction and that being north to the mountains of Georgia and North Carolina. Five days of roaming back roads. This hopefully will be kicking off on Halloween. More photo work awaits as well as three weddings by years end. Going to be a very busy end of the year for me and I am very happy. October is my favorite month, cooler weather is here, getting chilly at night with pleasant afternoons.

We also have a new addition to the family..

Meet Ziva..A stray puppy that wandered up to our home. She won me over with that goofy grin. A good scrubbing and hot meal and she was ready for a nap. As I blog here tonight she is lying on my bed.. sound asleep...

Waiting for the signs...

Have had reports of colors already starting in the higher elevations of North Carolina. Still no cooler weather for us here in southern Georgia but deep inside I can feel it getting closer...

Waiting game....Argh!!!!

After the fiasco of a "vacation" I have to sit and wait and wait for Fall to get here. Not sure when i will be going on the Fall shoot as it depends on when the leaves begin to show some color. We have pecan leaves already falling here at my place. The overnight lows have been in the mid 50's in the higher elevations and lower 60's in the lower parts. This will get everything started up. Not sure of the quality of leaf color this year, but regardless we are heading out and into the mountains for some relaxation and photography. I plan to fully enjoy myself this time around. the new "mid life crisis" is ready to roll....
